2005 Christmas Presents
Beautiful watch, perfume, clothes. I liked everything. Shaking the presents under the tree did not help me guess the contents.
Annual Review
As the year reaches its end, review of the events passed seems necessary. So I have noticed that for the first time in my life, my time seems occupied by studying. I feel like that there are not enough hours in a day for me to learn all there is about the Krebs cycle, glycolysis, AND...Physiology, histology, pharmacology. I remember last year this time being nervous about my medical school interview. This time I was more concerned about whether I had passed my last exam. So 2005 was great in the beginning, three weeks into the year I got my letter of acceptance to medical school, plus full scholarship. I was sooooooo happy and then I had to worry about completing my MPH (master's in public health). I thought I would never complete my thesis! And then five days before my graduation I had a car accident. Ok despite the bad side of things that could have happened, could you believe that $@*!! It happened right after I picked my mother up from the airport too! Anyway, she was not impressed with my driving, to say the least.
Then I went on a roadtrip with my boyfriend Nebraska to Pennsylvania. That was so much fun! I almost forgot I was broke. It was road .....road......motel......road.....motel....road....apartment. This led to the BIG move closer to the medical school. Ahh goodbye to stinky-but-fun city and hello to fresh country air and lack of fun options. Anyway so I moved and got ready for school. Ignorance was bliss for a while and then the Fall semester started. Oooh then the cycle began. Everything I have wanted to since I was twelve began, funny thing was it was soo difficult but enjoyable.
As far as love, I moved in with my boyfriend. He makes my life easier. He is wonderful, amazing. If I wasn't career girl, if life was simpler I would be happy to have his babies. I mean, I am someone who decided that the single life is the best. It's simple, fun, in motion. I thought I would be the fabulous doctor (surgeon with time to shop). I thought I would be the woman who lived in an amazing shoe-apartment with like five hundred pairs of Jimmy Choos, Manolos and Miu Miu's. But love muddles with great plans centered on the accumulation of shoes. So here I am, agnostic, living with my boyfriend and studying so I don't kill people when I am a doctor. I already know one thing I should not do to people with high blood pressure, not give them norepinephrine.
Anyway...I hope you have had an amazing year, yes with all the good and bad that happened. I hope you have grown over the year and I wish you a better year ahead. To the blog readers I know, I send my love.
