Friends
What is a friend? I guess it is a person who I would not mind talking to. There are some people I don't like talking to. They are not exciting, they don't share my interests, they want to change me. A friend however, loves the way I am and appreciates my honesty. And I like my friend to be honest too. And it's ok if my friends make a mistake because I do too. I will be there in the end anyway. So friends, dear friends, thank you for being there.

For the next 4 years...
For the next four years I only want to worry about classes, exams, rent (sometimes), making clinical rotations when the time comes and choosing the right medical specialty. That's all I want to worry about. Being an adult of course, is not what I made it out to be. Is it wrong that I want it to be a little simpler? Yes, I know I should be prepared for the unexpected to happen...it does happen after all. So, to make room for the unpredictable, I should probably try to make things I can control as simple and as managable as possible, right? Right, that should work...
Now back to my toiling.
Now back to my toiling.

To blog or not to blog
Tell me if you read my blog. I want to know. Call it validation. I like to know my efforts are being appreciated. As sporadic as they may be. So tell me if you read my blog.
Tell me.
Tell me.

Love...and I
I thought I knew Love...
I thought I had found it.
That was until it found me.
It surpasses all my expectations.
I can't define it.
I can't describe it.
I am overwhelmed.
I can't breath without smelling it's sweet scent.
I can't listen to anything without hearing it's low whisper.
Love has found me.

Love has found me.
Graduation pending...
Graduation is in approximately six weeks, and then I will have my master's in Public Health. I know you are asking "wassat?". Most people do, so do not gripe about your ignorance on this issue. Anyway, before I get my diploma, I have to complete my project report, pass my class on policy-making (now I know why health insurance for all is not a big deal to President Bush) and do my project defense. All this by May 4, 2005. So you wonder why I am here writing on my blog instead of getting to it. Well my head hurts. I just read about the Garbage Can Model, and as real as it is, it is just not fun to read about. I have three more articles to read. I am wondering if I should sleep instead (sleep is very important for your health, says I, the future doctor)...
The articles are on Medicare and Medicaid...oh, how interesting. I wish I could read them the way I read The Da Vinci Code. I could not put that book down. However, I am eager to throw these articles to the side at every opportunity, like a phone call or I create an opportunity like the sudden urge to write on my blog.
Arrrgh...alright back to it now!

The Pope
Today the Pope, John Paul II died. I remember being a child when he came to my country. I stood in a crowd of people who waited to see him pass by. I was ordered to wave as his car passed me. I waved not really knowing why this individual caused such a stir in our small Third World country. Now that I am older, thirteen years later, I understand. He cared about people and did what he could with his influence to change life for the better. He is the only leader who dared to tell the Western powers when they were wrong. Sure, it did not always work but he did it anyway. I do not agree with everything that the Catholic Church does, but I can say that the Pope deserves my respect for the exemplary life he lived.
I am grateful for having had the opportunity to know of him. He surely aimed higher as we all should.
May his soul rest in peace.
